I wanted to create icons that were simple, easy to understand and aligned with the existing icon set in the design system. I incorporated various attributes that helped to provide context and direction whist maintaining enough white space to ensure legibility when scaled. Validation through user testing was carried out to confirm that the icons accurately conveyed the intangible qualities.
